Twin-Screw Extrusion Granulator

In dispersions where solids and liquids coexist and solids predominate, the twin-screw extrusion pelletizer uses the dispersion’s self-adhesiveness (or added binding) and applies forced methods (such as extrusion, gravity, centrifugal force, mechanical force, airflow impact, etc.) to bond and enlarge primary solid powder particles, forming a concentrated pellet group with a defined shape and uniform particle size. A complete wet granulation system mainly consists of mixing (kneading), granulation, drying, and auxiliary systems. After mixing (kneading), the powder enters the pelletizer to form a moist product of the required particle size; after drying, finished granules are obtained, achieving the purpose of granulation.

Description

Twin-Screw Extrusion Pelletizer Features:

1. Two discharge configurations: Offers two structures—front discharge and side discharge—to meet granulation needs for different materials.

2. Flexible pellet size range: Front-discharge granulation diameter is between 1.5–12 mm. Side-discharge granulation diameter is 0.7–2.0 mm, suitable for fine granulation.

3. Regular cylindrical forming: Finished pellets are cylindrical, with good flowability, facilitating subsequent drying and filling.

4. High pelletizing quality: Pelletizing yield up to ≥ 95%, significantly reducing rework and dust waste and improving production efficiency.

Twin-Screw Extrusion Pelletizer Applications:

1. Pharmaceutical industry: Granules for Chinese and Western medicine instant powders, capsule-filling granules, pre-tableting granulation, and pellet manufacturing.

2. Food industry: Chicken essence, seasoning powders, health-food granules, instant solid beverages, and solid enzymes.

3. Chemical and others: Catalyst granules, pesticide granules, feed additives, and daily chemical raw materials.
